Thompson Weather

Thompson was established when one of the world's largest nickel deposits was found at the Thompson Nickel Belt in 1956. The community is very young, but is now the largest community in Northern Manitoba. Visit the Heritage North Museum, depicting local wildlife and history.

The nearby and very popular Pisew Falls and Kwasitchewan Falls are beautiful, and hiking trails in the area provide unparalleled views. Visit these northern communities and discover what the first explorers felt upon discovering this bountiful land!
